The God Particle (revisited)

An accelerating shadow pushes out,
inflates the universe in wild array,
all solid stones become so slippery
reality can find no warmth of clay.

Uncertainty’s law dominates the world,
motion's position in space/time unsure.
Infinity inflates the physical
to clothe my heart and soul in cloth so poor.

The new instructor gives me all the rules;
on hard and solid stone his laws secured.
I wonder why he does not seem to care
or see the pain my heart must now endure.

I search him out, intent to plead my case
to tell how all my pains are so acute;
but he diverges into infinities,
then says, “irrelevant, does not compute.”

I ask, where can I find reality,
but he shows no regard for such questions;
just gives a quick sly smile and then responds,
“Not necessary for the equations.”

I’m shocked, I’m stunned, so I ask him of truth;
and feel right-on that his answer reneges
as he tells me that truth inflates at point
where matter’s given genesis by Higgs.
