Bullies

Bullies are everywhere
Under our noses, among our friends
Live to scare, hurt and attack
Learned at an early stage of life
Yearning always to be number one!

The below is a computer-generated response from Neo, Neopoet's computer artificial intelligence:

This poem, "Bullies," presents a clear and concise message about the omnipresence and impact of bullies in our society. It uses a straightforward language and structure, which makes the message easily accessible to a broad audience.

However, the poem could benefit from a more nuanced exploration of its theme. For instance, the line "Learned at an early stage of life" suggests that bullying behavior is learned, but it does not delve into why or how this happens. Expanding on this could add depth to the poem and make it more engaging.

The final line, "Yelling mostly at oneself each day!" is a bit ambiguous. If it is intended to suggest that bullies are projecting their own insecurities onto others, this could be made clearer. If it is meant to imply that the victims of bullying internalize the hurtful messages and berate themselves, this could also be clarified.

The use of the acronym 'BULLY' as the first letter of each line is a creative touch. However, it's important to ensure that the content of the lines naturally fits the structure, rather than being forced to fit the acronym.

Finally, the poem could benefit from the use of more poetic devices such as metaphor, simile, or imagery. This would not only enhance the aesthetic quality of the poem but also allow for a deeper, more emotional exploration of the theme.

The bane of my existence since I was a child. It never seems to get easier and if it isn't controlled when they are young, they become ten times worse as adults. Short and sweet, right to the point. Well done.

Great poem! When I was in elementary school the whole damn place would chase me home, but I became invisible hiding behind an enormous pine. They had no claim on me!

All of God's children singing, holding hands in the rain!

Thank you for reading my poems. I appreciate it and your comments.
