https://www.neopoet.com/apostolos-paul-anagnostopoulos/blog/wed-2018-03-...

At the same time, the open nomination period for the next Administrative Council is underway:

Nominate yourself or any other member for the AC at: https://www.neopoet.com/community/vote/nominate

Nominations are accepted until midnight, March 16th.

We expect the election will follow approximately one week after the close of the nomination period.

In Rememberance of Lonnie

It is with a heavy heart and grief we must inform the members of neopoet.com of the loss of one of our family members, and most brilliant poets, Lon Robert Bruso- Lonnie.
For those that didn’t know Lonnie he was, in his own words-
“Vietnam Vet / Hippie / Mountain Man. Outspoken yet reclusive, un-politically correct, will defend to the death things that I believe in. I love to write poetry and songs, sing, fish and watch old westerns. If I had my druthers I'd probably live 15 miles from Bigfoot's last known whereabouts!”

Esker Memorial Month

Esker, in the world of Neopoet his gifts were not his poetry alone but the thoughtful, sensitive and meaningful feedback he gave to his brother and sister poets.

We can all share the pain and loss of his passing, gratitude for his gifts to us as a man and poet and a celebration of his life and works. Let us know which of his works or feedback  you would like to see highlighted-

Some words from a newer member, Captain https://www.neopoet.com/captain
"Esker,
I first read his words and
I thought it was a trick
No one could say that kind of stuff off the cuff
He knew me instantly
He saw right through the digital pages
And reached back to give me a pat on the back
I felt it
And it was warm and true
And kind
And wise
And I wondered about the man on the other end
Of my digital call out
Reading the letters of my avatar name
What were his days like?
Was the sun shining for him?
I sure hoped so
….Thanks for bothering
Esker, wherever you are
