Paul and others are still without power in New York and surrounding areas. I heard from Paul yesterday. It is hard for him to call out. I just wanted to let everyone know that he is okay.

New features

We've added a few new features, several of which were proposed by members on the idea gallery:

  • We've added a "backup" feature to let you download the poems and blogs you have posted to Neopoet
  • We've added (for poems by premium members) a way to show who has "favorited"/bookmarked your poem
  • Now you can co-write a poem with another (premium) member. We'll be introducing additional tools to support co-writing in the near future.
  • We've removed the "please do not critique mechanics" field [from strong support from the idea gallery and the AC]
  • We've added a "disagree" button to the idea gallery [from the idea gallery]
  • We've add idea gallery threads to the "tracker" tool, to profiles, and to "recent updates" area. The dashboard also has a new module which shows submissions to the ideas gallery. [from the idea gallery]

The referendum to change the name of the AEC to the Administrative Council (#4) passed with 16 in favor, 2 opposed, and 5 abstentions.

The referendum to change the term for AC members from six months to four months (#5) passed with 16 in favor, 2 opposed, and 5 abstentions.

The referendum to change the size of the AC from five members to three members (#6) passed with 13 in favor, 6 opposed, and 4 abstentions.

Neopoet Referendum No. 4
Change the name of the former "Advocates Election Committee" (AEC) to the "Administrative Council" (AC)

Neopoet Referendum No. 5
Change the term for AC/AEC members from six months to four months, starting with the group elected for this term.

Neopoet Referendum No. 6
Change the size of the AC/AEC from five members to three for a 1 term trial period, with an additional referendum to follow at the next election to contemplate making this change permanent.

During the election (which will start on March 27), we will run two referendums:
--A change in name from Advocate Election Committee (AEC) to the Administrative Council (AC)
--A reduction in the length of the AEC/AC term from 6 months to 4 months.
