Good Morning America...

Breaking fast this morning
Three hard boiled, pickled eggs
Two slices of rye-toast unbuttered
And a cup of coffee, cream no sugar

A happy day this morning
My neighbor mowing his lawn
How nice he waited until
Myself is up

Good Morning neighbor, Hello world!
Happy fourth of July!
Birthday celebration and a great day
Fire in the sky, and fire in our hearts

Grateful Dead in my ears
Walking in the morning dew
Smell of new mown grass
Taste of weed in my nose

Drum solo parade of emotions
Damn, that's fine Alligator music!
See him strut and twirl that guitar
Join in the never-ending rhythm

What a fine day to be alive
Sun swirled smoke of the happiness
Feeeling that beat and lovin' today
Longest cresendo, trailing notes

Like a never-ending concert of joy
Uncle John's Band bangs through sadness
Puts a cap on Sorrow, a pat on the back
Sending him on his way with a happy heart

“Their walls are built of cannon balls
Their motto is don’t tread on me.”

What can I say? Deadheads are family plain and simple. We don’t always agree but I’ve found we’re a bit better at tolerance and compassion than the average human.

You know I love this,
Tim

you love this! I had another one of those times, when [She] took off with something I was trying. I told her she was getting a little grabby, she just laughed and ran off with it! Sigh... Well, at least it was finished early and by the time I got done with breakfast; I just went and washed my cup and got another cup of coffee. "She" does amaze me sometimes; the way she reels these things off and blithely runs off for an afternoon nap. I wonder where she goes sometimes, but as long as she always comes back, I guess I can't complain. Thanks again, for the read and comment. ~ Geez.

I am sorry to say, I was never much of a "Dead fan" I only had the one (mostly) white tri-fold album. but I can still appreciate your poetry.

p.s.
Steve and I live between two(houses) of nonstop fireworks doers. so I don't get much sleep for three nights of fire-crackers going off until I get up about 1 to 1:30 a.m.

a kind of like problem. We have two or three sanctioned events over a couple of days and then there are, [like your neighbors] those that start a couple of days before the 4th and sometimes, keep going a couple of days after, with random fireworks. There seems to be a couple of warring factions that shoot them off for around ten minutes or so, then the others go and that's so the police can't really pinpoint them. They were still letting them off at 2:30 this morning, in some random instances. Seems they save the really big ones for last! Ugh!

You are forgiven the fact that you are not the huge "Dead" fan that I am.

we have two cops living on our street. unfortunately, they are the biggest offenders! can't win for losin'!!! Steve is deaf, so all he has to do is take out his hearing aids. the cats are under their respective beds.

*hugs, Cat

I do believe one of our offenders may be a cop too, he lives the next block down and though his street gets even less traffic than ours, his street is always plowed first during the winter. Hugs back, ~ Geez
